Many recently published studies evaluating the effectiveness of humanitarian assistance to Bosnia have focused on the amount of donated supplies and medications.1- 3 Several nongovernmental organizations also provided medical personnel to assist health care workers in Bosnia-Herzegovina during the war (November 1991-December 1995).
