The present work meets the need of a special anatomical text-book devoted to the nervous system. Notwithstanding the recent publication of the translation of Edirger's work, this book will find a place and meet a want. It has an advantage of being originally written in our language and that is not a slight one, when we consider the involved and elaborate nature of its subject. Dr. Gordinier has apparently done his work in a very thorough and satisfactory manner and the book in its present form will be a boon to the student in this department.
