AB The author's modest preface disarms criticism of this work, were we inclined to offer it. As it has reached a second edition in three years, it is fair to assume that its merits have been appreciated. It is certainly a work of much labor, though it does not impress us as being quite up to date in a few points. There is nothing to indicate any special change or revision in this edition.
