AB Further observations, confirmed by clinical and laboratory data since publication of my papers on this and kindred topics in 1902, 1904 and 1906, serve only to establish more firmly the views then expressed. The question of intestinal autointoxication, toxemia and lithemia, has at last come to the front where it belongs, and has gained wide attention from the medical profession both in Europe and America, and the results and treatment of putrefaction and toxemia originating in the intestinal canal have become matters of great importance not only to the general practician, but to the otorhinologist. Unsatisfactory results obtained after months of surgical and local treatment of some diseases of the ear, nose and throat have stimulated a more careful search for reasons why permanent relief was so rarely obtained from usual accepted and time-honored methods of treatment.The question of normal and abnormal nasal respiration has been settled long
