The changes in shape and position of the abdominal and thoracic viscera are noted and described, as well as the skeletal abnormalities. The work will be of great interest to the orthopedic specialist, but is too highly technical for those not especially familiar with the subject. A series of 37 plates, beautifully executed, accompanies the text. The German literature on the subject is briefly reviewed, and there is a short introduction by Julius Hochenegg.
