AB An error appeared in AMA INSIGHTS in the July 20 issue of The Journal (242:235-236, 1979). On page 236, in the first paragraph, there is a statement that the Hawaii State Health Planning and Development Agency is seeking to impose certificate-of-need licensure on physicians, based on predetermined estimates of the number of physicians required. James L. Swenson, Administrator, State Health Planning and Development Agency, states that such a bill was introduced in the Hawaii legislature this year, but the bill was neither introduced nor endorsed by the Hawaii State Health Planning and Development Agency.
