Despite the authors' criticism of popular reports concerning "survival" after death and their avowed respect for scientific principles, nowhere in their essay do they postulate what might be meant by surviving after death. Without such a definition, they are reduced to a discussion on the level of the spiritualist. I fail to see how this article qualifies for publication in a medical journal.
