AB A renal arteriovenous malformation produced hematuria in a 28-year-old man. The vascular lesion was characterized and localized by renal arteriography. The site of bleeding was found in the nephrectomy specimen. Surgical intervention, although utilized for this patient, is not always necessary, as bleeding may stop spontaneously.
