We believe it is the youngest occurrence of ureteral tumor reported in the English literature. The patient had a mass in the left upper quadrant of the abdomen. Obstruction in the proximal part of the left ureter was confirmed by a retrograde dye injection into the ureter. A 2.0 × 0.5-cm polyp at the ureteropelvic junction was resected, and a dismemberment pyeloplasty was performed. We believe there is a developmental rather than an acquired basis for this polyp.
