The practicing physician must not "of necessity rely on scientists" in his estimate of complications from the use of the pill. Such is the push (in recognition of the great need for population limitation) that a fervent religiosity has developed in its use (it is so easy). "The clinician" must not, at the peril of susceptible patients "repeat stereotyped answers currently favored by editorial opinions," paraphrasing your editorial. The pill at the very least needs observations for caution, in view of the many thousands of clinical reports of its bad side effects and serious complications.There are none so blind as those who will not see.I wonder whether you dare publish this letter.
