If one pursues this thought further, he is quickly face to face with the difficult but exciting problem of medical education in general. What are we attempting to accomplish in medical school? How may the curriculum be adjusted to cope with the whirlwind of scientific, technological, and sociological developments of this generation? Can we indeed distinguish clearly between basic science and clinical science?I shall not attempt a full-dress consideration of these questions.
