All furnish vibration by means of an electric motor with a rotating mechanism off-center from the drive shaft. Some also contain a heating element. Some people enjoy the sensation provided by the vibration of some of the devices. This vibration may, in some cases, provide temporary relief for minor muscular aches and pains due to fatigue or overexertion.
