    As one who has spent much time in the Far East teaching and helping set up psychiatric work in China, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand (I am returning to Bangkok in November for another four months of teaching at the medical schools there) and as one who has spent the last 38 years teaching psychiatry at Harvard, New York University, and the University of California, where I have taught many doctors from the Far East, I have been much interested in the announcement of the project to spend $3,500,000 to put the hospital ship Consolation into shape and to send a group of physicians, nurses, and public health workers to the Far East, mainly Indonesia.I would like to register my own feelings about spending $3,500,000 to send this hospital ship to Indonesia. Just lately I heard that two additional ships may be taken out of mothballs
