Combined with this has been his complementary function as an associate of the Sloan-Kettering Institute of the Center, where he is responsible for developmental work in chemotherapy of the lymphomas. His experience as investigator and clinician combined with an admirable knowledge of the natural history of cancer is reflected in the pages of this monograph. The author has achieved his announced objective of maintaining brevity without sacrifice of precision. The few omissions which are apparent are so lacking in importance as to underscore the author's total success. The content is outstanding but the organization of the book is defective in some respects. This is most apparent when, with no general discussion
