AB The material in the second edition of this annual publication is presented in abstract form for each drug under its official or otherwise recognized nonproprietary (generic) designation, with synonyms, including trademarks, shown parenthetically. The drugs are arranged alphabetically according to nonproprietary name and organized into chapters according to their pharmacological or clinical classification. The references which are cited by annotations in the text are listed at the end of each chapter. A cumulative general index of the names, synonyms, and classes of drugs for which literature is cited, covering the previous and current editions of the publication, appears at the end of the book, with page references to the first edition in italics. This publication has been faithfully compiled and should serve as a valuable reference to previously reported drug reactions. To have called this book "Adverse Effects of Drugs" would more clearly have reflected the emphasis that is placed
