The most important information the physician needs to know is what the working environment of the patient is like. Other factors include knowledge of the general housekeeping of the industrial plant involved, the general level of personal hygiene, and predictions of, and pertinent but not misleading data on, toxic action. Finally, the practicing physician should know where he can turn for advice when he suspects toxic reactions in patients.
