This step was taken in view of the Army's present critical need of physicians and dentists. The letters stated, "It is possible for you to be employed in a civilian status without conflicting with the Federal Dual Compensation Status, as you can, in addition to the Civil Service pay, continue to receive your disability retirement benefits."
