Overholt and Langer discuss the technic of pulmonary resection. By pulmonary resections the authors mean not only pneumonectomy but also lobectomy and segmental resection.Anatomy is clearly outlined. Inasmuch as the relative position of the important vessels to each segment, lobe and lung is different, the authors describe the technic for resection of each separately. Space is devoted to preoperative and postoperative treatment and anesthesia. The book is authoritative.
