AB Twyman, physicist to Adam Hilger Limited, manufacturer of optical instruments, has now presented to his fellow workers a "last minute" account of references pertaining to spectrochemical analysis. The monograph is divided into six sections and a subject index. Twyman makes a candid selection of the literature. The second chapter, on quantitative spectrochemical analysis with the microphotometer, is of importance because it is the field which receives most attention at present. Chemists, physicists and biologists interested in this branch of science need this booklet on their study table.
