AB This publication, the first number of the "International Digest of Health Legislation," is the successor to the public health section of the Bulletin Mensuel de l'Office International d'Hygiene Publique, the duties and the functions of which office were transferred to the World Health Organization by act of the governments represented at the International Health Conference in New York on July 22, 1946. The technical reports and communications previously appearing in the Bulletin will be included in the Bulletin of the World Health Organization. The Digest will consist of reprints and translations of, or extracts from, the texts of the more important laws and regulations dealing with public health and related subjects adopted in different countries. Volume 1, no. 1, makes a good start by including such subjects as regulations for the registration of nurses in Australia, regulation of masseurs in France, regulation of medical practitioners in Southwest Africa and regulations
