AB This is a small, nonexhaustive book on surgery, intended primarily to introduce the student nurse to the science and art of surgery as well as to prepare her for the required state examinations. The book, though brief, is unusually complete. It covers all of general surgery including gynecology, orthopedics and the conditions of the eye, ear, nose and throat. It does not, however, deal with any of the practical nursing procedures. Written in simple clear style and illustrated by line drawings to clarify the text, it easily fulfils the purpose for which it was intended.
