F. Todd on page 1120 of the Lancet for Nov. 12, 1938. The article in the Lancet is properly entitled "Rectal Ulceration Following Irradiation" but the title of the article in The Journal is "Rectal Ulceration Due to Cancer of Cervix." The latter article seems to imply that the subject is new, stating "It is only recently that it has been discovered that the radium treatment of cancer of the cervix uteri may produce chronic ulceration of the rectum."An article in which this condition was described was presented before the American
