The selection is of a kind to minimize the element of reparative surgery and to constitute a frank advance to or over the borderline. Granted that there is a case to be made for those who have sound reasons in economic status or in mental suffering justifying such procedures, the deliberate standardizing of mere beauty procedures leaves something to be desired. Decisions should be individual rather than generic, exceptional rather than collective. Moreever, even ignoring the ethical objection, the methods here disclosed indicate a lack of thorough knowledge of the nature and relation of the facial tissues; and the indicated procedures themselves convey the same message.
