The therapeutic responses have been sufficiently definitive to justify a preliminary report.Usually about 10 cc. of serum has been given intravenously to each patient on both the first and the second day in the hospital. No serum reactions have occurred. In nine cases there has occurred an abrupt cessation of fever, malaise, chills, sweats, arthralgias and myalgias forty-eight hours after the second injection, and also a rapid reduction in the volume of the involved lymph glands to an average of one half of their former diameters. Not a single lymph gland has suppurated. The skin rash, when present, has likewise either disappeared or faded extensively within the first three days. One patient, received in a dying condition, was not benefited.A detailed report of these and
