    Licenses Revoked. 
    —The state board of medical examiners at a meeting in San Francisco, July 17, revoked the licenses of Drs. Frederick B. Tapley of Marysville, Moses E. Smith, Plymouth, and Joseph T. Wrenn, Placerville. The board at the same meeting revoked also the license of Maria Caron, a midwife of Los Angeles.Milk Exposed to Sunlight. 
    —The chief of the dairy industry division of the University of California, Chester L. Roadhouse, reports a series of experiments on the exposure of milk to light. It was found that milk left in the sunshine for fiftyfive minutes developed a strong "cardboard or cappy taste." Ten minutes' exposure was sufficient to give a noticeable change in the
