AB This readable little book on influenza is devoted chiefly to the bacteriology of the disease. Epidemic history and epidemiology are dealt with sketchily. After a lucid but not overcritical discussion of the possible causal relations of the Pfeiffer bacillus, of B. pneumosintes and of filtrable viruses, the author reaches the reasonable conclusion that the etiology of influenza is still an open question. Familiar and readily accessible articles furnish the material on which the book is based.
