AB This book, dedicated to the memory of Hughlings Jackson, is written by one of Jackson's ablest pupils and one of his worthiest spiritual heirs. The subjects discussed are largely those which were dear to Jackson and enriched by him; namely, the study of epilepsy in all its variations, disorders of muscle tone, and disordered muscular action. There are also chapters on narcolepsy; pathologic laughing and crying; dysesthesias and their neural correlates, and on the Argyll Robertson pupil. The material consists of papers and lectures published by the author in recent years, all, however, revised and with new material added. The subjects discussed are those uppermost in present-day neurologic thought.
