The account by Stoddard and Cutler2 reports extensive lung changes in the second of the two patients examined post mortem. The upper lobe of the right lung was shrunken and contained a large consolidated region, which was firm like fibrous tissue and composed of gray-white nodules as large as 2 mm. in diameter. The mass was irregular and had nodular extensions into the surrounding tissue. No parts contained caseated or calcified tissues or cavities.
