AB In view of the fact that the combination of a break in continuity and dislocation of the atlas is rather unusual and that the patient gave a history of symptoms from the date of injury which might be attributed to this condition, this case seems of interest to report.REPORT OF CASE 
    A private, aged 24, a ground man in an aero squad, a college student before entering the army, with a negative history, was injured by making his escape from a German air raid on the aerodrome to which he was attached, Aug. 17, 1918. He was found in an unconscious state along the roadside, and was taken to a dressing station, where a few hours later he regained consciousness. The patient remained here for ten days, during which time he suffered from intense headache and pain in the neck. Morphin was administered and also acetylsalicylic acid, but a
