The World in Medicine item entitled "Drinking Water Safety" published
in the August 11, 1999, issue of THE JOURNAL (1999;282:519), included an incorrect
number in the text. In the sentence that read, "The program is underwritten
by a $25,000 grant from the CCC, which is a business council of the Chemical
Manufacturers Association," the amount should have been $250,000.
