RT Journal A1 Cornfeld D T1 Cardiovascular mri in congenital heart disease: An imaging atlas JF JAMA JO JAMA YR 2010 FD December 1 VO 304 IS 21 SP 2415 OP 2416 DO 10.1001/jama.2010.1742 UL http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/jama.2010.1742 AB Cardiovascular MRI in Congenital Heart Disease: An Imaging Atlas is an excellent example of what a small imaging atlas should be. It is short but concise, filled with beautiful images and diagrams, and packed with high-yield information. Congenital heart disease is a daunting subject. Most textbooks on this topic are thick and intimidating. This atlas does not attempt to replace such a text. Rather, it is a review of the common imaging findings for a variety of congenital cardiac pathologies, intended for the practicing imager with some prior experience in this field. For readers who are expert in congenital heart disease, this text may be too basic. For those with no experience, this text is too cursory and does not provide enough detail to be used as a primary teaching tool.
