However, a few issues should be considered. Most important is the definition used for high-risk PCI, which was a combination of reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (<30%) in combination with complex coronary artery disease. Although this definition is in line with previously conducted studies,3- 5 no generally accepted guideline-based definition for high-risk PCI currently exists.
