The study was unable to show statistically significant improvements in outcomes for the individual SCIP measures or for a composite of 3 of them, but was able to show such outcome improvements for the composite of all SCIP measures. Although the authors acknowledged that their study “does suggest that some association between SCIP adherence and quality exists,” they concluded that they had failed to prove that “reported adherence on these measures is directly related to improved outcomes.”
