In this case, however, Norman and Streiner replace the standard bell-shaped curve with a da Vinci drawing, with the apex at the crotch. For the back cover, these authors unabashedly bare their own bodies with a variation on this classic drawing, covering their privates with a red cardboard maple leaf, thereby revealing more than their Canadian background for the backside of their latest edition of Biostatistics: The Bare Essentials.
