The literature on human papillomavirus (HPV) has increased to enormous proportions since Harald zur Hausen's publications in the early 1980s establishing the link between the HPV virus and cancer of the cervix. Krishnan's book does a masterful job of organizing the complex and expansive HPV literature into well-organized chapters discussing different aspects of the HPV field. The references provided for each chapter are an invaluable source for any student of HPV who wants to delve further into the literature. More than 300 total references are provided. The index is thorough and well organized.
