This textbook represents a single author's compilation of a variety of high-quality, color, well-reproduced gross photographs of organ pathology, with accompanying photomicrographs. The book is divided into 12 organ system chapters. Most pages contain 2 or 3 good-sized photographs, each accompanied by a short caption providing a concise description of the findings. A good number of the photographs have arrows or other indicators to help identify the area of interest. The presence of a measurement reference in the gross photographs is quite variable, with a simple ruler adjacent to the tissue being the usual method.
