Cell. 10.1016/j.cell.2008.07.041 [published online ahead of print August 7, 2008]). The new stem cell lines will allow scientists to recapitulate both normal and pathological human tissue formation in the laboratory, thereby enabling them to better understand disease progression and to devise potentially promising therapeutic strategies.
