To the Editor: Dr Formenti and colleagues1 demonstrated that prone positioning (vs supine positioning) significantly decreased the volume of heart and lung tissue exposed to radiation in women being treated for breast cancer. However, an important component of radiation-induced cardiac toxicity, in addition to the volume of irradiated myocardium, is the extent of coronary artery irradiation.2- 4
