RT Journal A1 Sherr DL T1 POsitioning during radiotherapy for breast cancer JF JAMA JO JAMA YR 2013 FD January 9 VO 309 IS 2 SP 137 OP 137 DO 10.1001/jama.2012.56914 UL http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/jama.2012.56914 AB To the Editor: Dr Formenti and colleagues1 demonstrated that prone positioning (vs supine positioning) significantly decreased the volume of heart and lung tissue exposed to radiation in women being treated for breast cancer. However, an important component of radiation-induced cardiac toxicity, in addition to the volume of irradiated myocardium, is the extent of coronary artery irradiation.2- 4
