The singular nature of the object of my quest required a close examination. Works by Jean Gorin (1899-1981) defy easy categorization, because they may encompass painting, sculpture, and architecture. When at last Spatio-temporal Composition No. 31 (cover) appeared before me in the corner of the storage room, it was a revelatory moment to contemplate the purity and perfection of this multidimensional work.
