First, the correction for multiple comparisons applied by the authors is not suggested by Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines and has rarely been used in other meta-analyses. Thus, the authors introduced an unnecessarily stringent level of significance (P < .0063 instead of P < .05), hampering interpretation of the results.
