Table 3 of the article showed that the incidence of hip fracture in the cataract surgery group was greater during the year after surgery (1.30%; 95% CI, 1.26%-1.33%) compared with the year prior to surgery (1.04%; 95% CI, 1.01%-1.07%). Reported 95% confidence intervals suggest that the difference was statistically significant.
