Essentials of Geriatric Psychiatry attempts to educate health care professionals and psychiatrists interested in the diagnosis and management of elderly persons with psychiatric conditions. The book consists of a preface and 20 chapters divided into 4 sections. It is based on The Textbook of Geriatric Psychiatry, also edited by Dan Blazer and David Steffens. In the past I have found the textbook to be an excellent resource for comprehensive review.
