They applied criteria from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (Fourth Edition) (DSM-IV) and the 10/66 Dementia Diagnosis—a recently developed cross-culturally validated algorithm for diagnosing dementia in those with little or no education.
