It is the result of a study of an unselected series of 100 consecutive cases from infancy to the sixteenth birthday. All the cases were verified either by study of specimens removed at operation or at necropsy. It consists of fifteen chapters, a bibliography of 483 references, an author and subject index and excellent illustrations of gross specimens, ventriculographic studies and patients. Ependymomas, malignant and benign tumors of the cerebellum, gliomas of the brain stem, optic chiasm and hypothalamus, tumors of the cerebral hemispheres, craniopharyngiomas, tumors of the pineal body and miscellaneous tumors are discussed in detail. There are chapters on general pathology, symptomatology, differential diagnosis and technic and the results of treatment. There are excellent microscopic sections of the various tumors. The book should be read by every neurologist, neurosurgeon and neuropathologist because it will prove to be an excellent reference. It
