AB Increase in Salary for CCC Physicians 
    Since the receipt in this office of the item entitled, "Physicians Wanted for the CCC," published in The Journal, October 14, page 1500, the office of the surgeon of the Eighth Corps Area, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, has received instructions from the War Department to the effect that the salaries of all physicians on duty with the CCC would be $3,200 per year instead of $2,600 per year.New Manager of Veterans Hospital 
    Dr. Grover C. Daniel, clinical director of the Veterans Administration Facility, Walla Walla, Wash., has been appointed manager effective October 1. He had been acting manager since the recent death of Dr. Orville D. Wescott, manager. Dr. Daniel was born in Olioville, Ky. He served in the army medical department from September 1917 until December 1918, and the following vear graduated at Loyola University School of Medicine, Chicago.Examinations for Government
