We concur and also support his position that some patients are better managed in the United States than in Canada. Elderly US residents may receive more hip replacements, more knee replacements, and more lens replacements than their Canadian counterparts (and with improvements in quality of life).1 On the other hand, Canadians may receive more of other services, particularly care for children.2 Few people in Canada wait 9 months for prenatal care, as reflected in life expectancy.3- 4
