Part 1 provides an overview of the fundamentals of nutritional medicine: diet, sugar, additives, pitfalls of cooking and storage, reactive hypoglycemia, food allergy, subclinical or empirical hypothyroidism, candidiasis (“ Candida -related complex”), and orthomolecular medicine. The book frequently recommends nutrient supplements in relatively large doses, even for persons not nutritionally deficient—a concept “rejected by many conventional physicians.”
