The editors have taken on an enormous conceptual, organizational, and qualitative challenge. In 816 pages, more than 150 expert contributors address nearly as many ideas and topics. Although some contributions are theoretical or informational, others are first-person accounts relating to a single particular instance or process. In short, this approach offers much variation for many interests, but it works—and exceptionally well.
