This study failed to report salient factors relating to parents and
caregivers. Did the children who experienced unwanted sexual solicitation
live in homes with stricter parental rules than those who did not? Were children
whose parents were more involved more likely to access the Internet outside
the home? Research limited to risk factors for youth may not provide the whole
picture because parents' relationships with their children are related to
adolescents' risk behaviors.2
