Funding/Support Omission and Misspelling of an Author Name: In the Caring for the Critically Ill Patient article entitled “Corticosteroid Treatment and Intensive Insulin Therapy for Septic Shock in Adults: A Randomized Controlled Trial,” published in the January 27, 2010, issue of JAMA (2010;303[4]:341-348), a funding source was omitted. The “Funding/Support” section on page 348 should have read: “This study was supported in part by grant PHPC-P04021 from the French Ministry of Health and by the Assistance Publique–Hôpitaux de Paris.” Consequently the “Role of the Sponsor” section should read: “The Assistance Publique–Hôpitaux de Paris took full administrative responsibility but had no role in the recruitment of patients; in the management, analysis, or interpretation of the data; or in the preparation, review, or approval of the article nor did the French Ministry of Health.” In the “Authors/COIITSS Study Investigators writing committee” section on page 347, “Julien Mayaud” should be “Julien Mayaux.”
